For many years, I worked as a high school counselor in a school where many students were navigating difficult circumstances in their lives. I supported young people facing challenges at home, emotional struggles, and life choices that often created stress and uncertainty.
It was demanding work — but work I truly loved.
For a long time, I was able to stay steady in the middle of it all. But when serious challenges arose in my own family, the weight of everything began to feel overwhelming. I remember thinking, “I don’t think I can do this.”
It was around that time that I was introduced to EFT tapping during a professional development workshop.
I began using tapping for myself, along with a daily meditation practice, and it helped me regain my balance and calm my nervous system.
Not long after, I began experiencing challenges in my work environment that started to weigh on me.
Over time, it reached a point where I knew something had to change. I found myself feeling frustrated, disconnected, and no longer enjoying work the way I once had. I realized I needed to address what I was feeling — not just manage it.
So, one evening I spent time tapping on my own reactions and the frustration I was carrying.
The next day, something had shifted. Everything felt softer. I had more space, more clarity, and a greater sense of understanding — both for myself and the situation. I began to see things through a different lens. Communication felt easier, and the dynamic changed in a way that surprised me.
That experience showed me something I’ve seen again and again:
When we change our own inner state, the dynamics around us change as well.
As a counselor, I witnessed how powerful EFT tapping can be — first within myself, and then in others.
After retiring from my school counseling career, I knew I wanted to continue this work in a new way. I made the decision to become a certified EFT practitioner and spent many hours studying and practicing the technique so I could confidently share it with others who feel overwhelmed or stuck in emotional patterns they want to change.
Today, I help people calm their nervous systems, shift emotional reactions, and reconnect with the calm, steady version of themselves.
